In an interview for Seznam Zprávy, a.s., Prof. Paul Chaisty, a leading expert on Russian and East European politics from the University of Oxford, shares his insights. For more than 20 years, his research has focused on political attitudes, identity, and the functioning of authoritarian regimes in the post-Soviet space – a perspective he brings into the current debate on Russia and the war in Ukraine.
We are monitoring the current developments related to the situation in Venezuela following the intervention of the U.S. military, which transported Venezuela’s authoritarian president Nicolás Maduro to the United States.
