Our ERA-AREAS project coordinator Karel Kouba took part in the ERA Chairs Projects in Czechia Workshop at the Filosofický ústav Akademie věd ČR | Institute of Philosophy, Czech Academy of Sciences, where he presented our ERA Chair in Multidisciplinary Area Studies Project.
The event created a space for exchange among ERA Chair projects operating in Czechia, offering a useful opportunity to reflect on shared goals, challenges, and the broader impact of the HorizonEurope Widening programme.
The meeting brought together representatives of all ERA Chair projects across Czechia, including the excellent Agate Centre of the Matematicko-fyzikální fakulta Univerzity Karlovy, the other ERA Chair project housed by the Charles University.
In his presentation, Karel Kouba introduced our efforts to further develop area studies at the Filozoficka fakulta Univerzity Karlovy, including the involvement of internationally recognised scholars such as ERA Chair holder Prof. Mariana Llanos and CenMAS Research Group leader Mahmoud Farag. Thank you to the organisers for bringing this community together and for the kind invitation.
